About Department

Department of Psychology independently for undergraduate level in the year 1963. Postgraduate courses in Psychology are also running by the department which started from the year 1969. Initially, the areas of social psychology, personality, clinical psychology, educational psychology, industrial psychology, and experimental psychology came to the fore, and during the course of time new areas of humanistic psychology, health psychology, and spiritual psychology also got incorporated into the curriculum.

The mission of the Department is to make teaching as well as learning more academically inspiring and life satisfying. The department inculcates and promote appropriate analytical skills among students for scientific analysis and its application at various levels of learning. This will prepare students for a successful career in applied Psychology for instance to grow as a human resource development program center in Counseling.
