About Department

The Department of Urdu is established with the establishment of college in the year 1963 with Undergraduate course. The vision of the department is to become a center of excellence in the promotion, research, and teaching of Urdu language and literature, preserving cultural heritage while aligning with contemporary educational needs. The mission of the department is to integrate modern teaching methodologies in Urdu language and literature education, foster academic and creative scholarship, enhance students’ critical and creative abilities, promote Urdu on national and international platforms, and strengthen cultural and national identity.
