About Department

The Department of Biotechnology came in existence 2003. With incessant development and expansion of its infrastructure and learned faculty, the department aims to become one of the shining departments of the institute. The Department of Biotechnology accompaniments theoretical learning with a strong importance on practical application, to ensure that graduates are well-prepared to make an impact solid on the biotechnology industry.  The department works with the mission to introduce students to the ideologies, practices and application of animal, plant, and microbial biotechnology and its applications along with plant, animal and microbial genomics and genetic transformation. This will enable students to implement the scientific skills for industrial applications and entrepreneurship development.
